Real Change


August 6th

I don't like to talk politics on here because I don't want to start a debate, however I think we (the citizens of the United States) need a change. Not some campaign slogan, but a real alteration. We need to demand a difference in the way things are being run! And I don't feel like we are going to get it from Democrats or Republicans. I started to get excited about the Tea Party movement and then the "Neocon" Republicans seem to have hijacked it. Democrats and Republicans both make big promises yet nothing seems to change. The government keeps talking about how we need more regulations on businesses and consumers to help "protect" us, but I think we need more regulations on the government. Let's introduce term limits, accountability and the seperation of business and state. They are all very simple and would not require a 3,000 plus page bill. Firstly, two terms and you're out. Period. I think career politicians are the reason that we are in this mess, let's get rid of them! Secondly, let's bring back accountability. This should be common sense. Simply do what you say you're going to do. If you run a campaign on pulling the troops out of Iraq and you don't pull the troops out of Iraq, you should be held accountable. I feel that high treason should be the charge. These politicians will think twice about lying to get elected if high treason is the consequence. Lastly, we need seperation of business and state. Very simply, any politician will be monitored for any fradulant activity. They may not partake in any vote that may be considered a conflict of interest. For example, if they own a cellphone company they are not allowed to vote in anything that would effect the wireless industry. If any politician is caught receiving money from a corporation or a person who is involved with the corporation, they will be tried on charges of high treason. We should create a "secret" task force of people that monitor all of the politicians and their bank accounts; this may help keep them honest. I know I'm living in a dream world and none of this will never happen, but I still think major changes should be made to improve our country.

Pay It Forward


August 4th

I want to start a revolution. A revolution where people help each other out. Not just for some self gain or self promotion, but just because its the right thing to do. We need to change the world! Everyone is always complaining that the world is so terrible, let’s take all that wasted energy that your using to complain and put it to good use. I know we all work 40+ hours a week at our job, but what are you doing on your days off? Probably sitting around watching TV complaining about how hard your life is, well time to turn off the TV and get to work. Here is how I’m going to start; first I’m going to put adds in my neighborhood for free help, like moving furniture or whatever else people need and encourage them to pay it forward. Second I’m going to look for my local food bank and homeless shelters and start volunteering, I’m going to video document everything and try and get personal testimonies from people participating to help inspire people. Let’s do this.
